High Low

We all experience highs and lows day to day, week to week and year to year. Some periods are filled with more lows and some with more highs. If you try hard enough you can usually find more highs than lows. This past week was tough so I tried to focus on the positives.

Low. 

A blow to my self esteem and overall feelings of hurt.

A patient giving me a hug and a thank you card. 

Low. 

Witnessing a motorcycle get hit by a car. 

High. 

Providing the victim with comfort and my phone to call family.  

Low. 

Feeling “not enough”.

High. 

Dinner and drinks with a friend.

Friends who call you to make sure you’re okay and parents who pick up the phone no matter how often you call.

You just have to look hard enough
