What does a dietitian buy at Costco? Probably not too different from an average person, it depends more on the storage capacity that you have and the food that you and your family eats!
Personally, I was very overwhelmed at first. There were so many people in line before it even opened! And then it was sensory overload as the group made its way inside. But let’s get down to the essentials, the food.
Think about items that are non-perishable or can be frozen to keep for longer if you won’t eat it quick enough. I found my favorite Dave’s Killer Bread but it came with two loaves! Lucky for me bread stores well in the freezer.
Chia seeds are always so expensive and hard to find! In grocery stores they are so over priced and at Trader Joe’s they’re more affordable but not in a bag this big! This giant bag was only $8! That’s a steal! And lately I’ve been using chia seeds in baking because I don’t always have eggs on hand.
The nut selection is amazing!! I would have bought some but I’ve been snacking on Kind and 88 Acres bars more lately. Instead I bought two large tubs of my favorite, Teddie’s peanut butter. I wonder how long that will last me!
Seasonings and Other Essentials.
I have a lot of spices at my apartment, that’s what happens when people come and go, they leave spices behind. However, I never have enough Everything Bagel seasoning!
I also have been cooking with spray more to cut back on the calories that comes from a too heavy pour of oil. So I stocked up on canola oil spray!
Maggie got me hooked on Liquid IV. This is an electrolyte drink that SAVES me after having a few drinks. It also tastes amazing. We both stocked up.
Summer is over and alas it’s time to take vitamin D again. These gummies are so soft and taste delicious! Definitely worth the buy!
